I photographed this scene in October 2023 on my annual autumn trip to the Sierra. I spotted this meadow on a quiet morning as I walked around a forest looking for trees to photograph. Instead, I noticed these aspen leaves standing out amidst the wavy green grass behind them. The different layers and textures at play in this composition made it one of my favorites from the trip.
