Fall Sunrise at Dunderberg Meadow, Eastern Sierra
I photographed this scene in October 2024 after a series of visits over several years. On every prior occasion, I had photographed the area in the afternoon and found the lighting situation challenging due to the positioning of the sun. On this occasion, I had decided to return in the morning for sunrise to see whether it would be different. I was treated to a wonderful display of pink clouds, which contrasted nicely with the shaded fall colors in the foreground.
