Rolling Clouds over Mount Ritter and Banner Peak at Sunrise, Ansel Adams Wilderness
On my second ever backpacking trip, I spent four days in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, just south of Yosemite. I spent an extremely windy and relatively sleepless night at Garnet Lake on my first night. In the morning, I walked a couple hundred feet to the shore of the lake to witness sunrise. Though the previous evening’s winds made sleep difficult, they did bring clouds to cover the tops of Mount Ritter and Banner Peak. I focused on the scene using my 35-70mm zoom lens and made this simple composition capturing that moment.
